Aerial Resupply Coffee

Mike Klemmer spent twenty years as a U.S. Army logistics officer, deploying three times in support of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and named his coffee company for the way the Army gets supplies to troops already out doing the work. His family is from Charlottesville, Virginia; they came home in 2018, and he founded Aerial Resupply Coffee there in 2021, meaning it for the mechanics, fuel handlers, planners and supply crews he had served alongside. For its first couple of years another roaster roasted the coffee. Then the company bought its own roaster, and today every bag is roasted in small batches, packed and shipped from its roastery at 705 Dale Avenue, which is open for pickup on weekday mornings and early afternoons.
